Composition Or Preparation & Dosage
Composition: Take 93,300 mg (8 tolas) of mercury that has been processed with Birbahuti and 7 other purified poisons, along with 11,662 mg (1 tola) of gold leaf and 186,624 mg (16 tolas) of purified sulfur. First, mix the mercury and gold leaf, and grind them together in Neem juice for 3 days. Each morning, add 11,662 mg (1 tola) of Saindhava salt to the mixture. On the fourth day, wash the mercury 3-4 times with water to remove the alkali. Afterward, mix it thoroughly with sulfur, grind it well, and infuse it with the juice of cotton flowers (extracted using a press) and Ghuwar juice for 3 days. Let it dry, then place it in a crucible and heat it for 60 hours. After about 36 hours, the lid will blacken. By continuing to apply intense heat for an additional 24 hours, the medicine will be ready. At the bottom, you will find a small amount of yellow ash mixed with sulfur and alkali. If the mercury has not been fully processed, some black ash of gold may remain at the bottom. The gold will not rise to the top.
It is important to use the juice from the red flowers of a cotton tree, which lives for many years. However, avoid using the juice from cotton flowers that bloom during the rainy season, as it is not suitable.
Dosage Method: Mix 46,648 mg (4 tolas) each of Chandrodaya and camphor by grinding them together. Then, add 3 masha each (approximately 1.17 grams or 1,170 mg) of Javitri (mace), Samudrashosha (aged Samudra seeds), Chhoti Elaichi (green cardamom), and musk. Grind everything together and store it in a bottle.
In the market, camphor is available in three varieties: mixed camphor, pure camphor, and refined camphor. It is advisable to use Bhimseni camphor made from refined camphor. Alternatively, Bhimseni camphor imported from Sumatra or Borneo can also be used This Bhimseni camphor is particularly beneficial.

Uses in Curing Illness As Per Medical Text Book
This Chandrodaya Ras is highly beneficial as a heart tonic, aphrodisiac, rejuvenator, and strength enhancer. It improves blood quality, boosts immunity, and acts as a calming agent for mental disorders. It is extremely effective in curing diseases caused by phlegm imbalance, chronic fevers, tuberculosis, mental weakness, diabetes, digestive disorders, epilepsy, and indigestion. It also increases vitality, strengthens the body, and balances air (vata) in the system.
If taken before or during intercourse, this rasayana provides the strength and vigor to satisfy even a hundred highly intoxicated women. It is recommended to consume this medicine with clarified butter (ghee), lamb, mutton, meat broth, urad dal preparations, and other strength-enhancing foods. By consuming this medicine for one year, one becomes invulnerable to any poison, whether stationary or mobile. Just as the practice of Mrityunjaya protects from death, similarly, regular consumption of this rasayana prevents the fear of aging and death.
Gold and gold-mixed medicines provide strength to the heart and purify the blood. Since gold acts as a carrier, medicines like Hemgarbh Potli Ras and other stimulating medicines, when combined with gold, show powerful stimulating effects on the heart. Poorn Chandrodaya Ras also possesses these stimulating properties. Due to the addition of gold in this rasayana, it is effective in combating infections caused by bacteria. There have been many cases where this medicine has been highly beneficial in the advanced stages of tuberculosis. This rasayana has a direct impact on tuberculosis-causing bacteria. Thus, it brings quick relief in all three stages of tuberculosis.
If fever increases after consuming Poorna Chandrodaya Ras, the dosage should be reduced. This formulation does not harm the body’s essential components but only eliminates the harmful bacteria that attack the body. From this perspective, Poorna Chandrodaya Ras is an excellent germicidal medicine. It strengthens the blood and makes the blood vessels robust, especially in conditions where there is bleeding in the lungs due to advanced tuberculosis. It also plays a vital role in healing wounds. This rasayana has been used in several cases of lung injuries due to various stages of tuberculosis.
If Poorn Chandrodaya Ras is started at the onset of tuberculosis, its stimulating properties initially cause increased stimulation in the blood vessels and bodily channels, leading to a temporary sensation of increased fever. However, as the gold alkali gradually integrates into the system, the blood becomes purified, and the tuberculosis-causing bacteria are gradually destroyed.
To Cure Sensory Weakness, Growth Disorders, and Bacterial Infections
In the case of bacterial infections, this rasayana has a primary function of destroying the bacteria present in the blood while also strengthening it. Therefore, in conditions such as enteric fever, pleuropneumonia, pleuritis (chest fluid accumulation), and other infectious fevers where heart function becomes weak or slow due to bacterial toxins, Poorna Chandrodaya Ras proves to be especially beneficial compared to other medicines.
When the body does not grow with age, resulting in a short stature or stunted appearance, the face looks dull and swollen, the skin and nails appear dry, and there is insufficient growth in the genital and hip areas. Even as the person ages, a woman may still resemble a young girl with underdeveloped organs, indicating that the functions of these organs do not correspond with the person’s age. Similarly, the breasts and other organs may not develop properly. In men, the underdevelopment of the testicles can lead to insufficient sperm production, the body lacks radiance, and the organs appear contracted due to improper growth. There is no vitality, the eyes look dull, and movement becomes slow. In such conditions, medicines that promote growth with age are highly effective — one being Poorna Chandrodaya Ras and the other Arogyavardhini. For those with Vata-dominant disorders, Arogyavardhini is useful, while those with Kapha-dominant imbalances benefit from Poorna Chandrodaya Ras.
This rasayana effectively addresses any form of weakness or dysfunction in the senses. Here, the term “senses” refers to both the power to perceive and the ability to execute commands. The body’s organs are under the control of the senses. For example, the eyes are governed by the sense of sight, the tongue by the sense of taste, and the skin by the sense of touch. These senses enable us to perceive sound, touch, form, taste, and smell. When these senses become weak, the eyes cannot see properly, and the ears cannot hear effectively. This weakness arises due to an imbalance in the Vata and Pitta doshas. Just as the tissues (dhatus) influence the body and its components, they also affect the mind, intellect, and senses. When the balance of the tissues is restored, the weakness in the senses is eliminated, and the body’s organs begin to function properly.
Even the senses, which may have become dormant over time, get reactivated by this rasayana. Therefore, in cases of impotence, Poorna Chandrodaya Ras provides remarkable benefits. By consuming this medicine, sensory weakness is eradicated, and the mind also gains renewed vitality and strength.
Curing Sexual Disorder In Men
Removes Poison The Blood
In cases of artificial poison (from animals), physical poison, or stationary/movable poisons (like toxins from plants or venomous bites), after performing detoxification treatments, the use of Poorna Chandrodaya Ras is highly beneficial to prevent any long-term recurrence of the toxic effects. This rasayana purifies the blood and makes the body more resistant to the harmful effects of toxins.
In cases of sudden illness (nipat) where there is an aggravation of Kapha (phlegm), Poorna Chandrodaya Ras proves to be highly beneficial. When the Kapha becomes vitiated and obstructed, the patient experiences symptoms such as a foul odor when entering the room, a rattling sound in the throat, mucus discharge in the nose, chest congestion, coughing, vomiting, sleeplessness, a black and coated tongue, restlessness, and delirium. In some cases, there may be inflammation of the brain lining, which leads to symptoms like difficulty in moving the neck, more groaning sounds inside the chest, and irregular behaviors.
In such conditions, a mixture of Poorna Chandrodaya Ras, Kharjura Bhasma, Praval Pishti, and Swarna Makshik Bhasma, administered with honey, is given three times a day in small amounts. Additionally, remedies like Yashtimadhu (licorice), Baheda (Terminalia bellirica), Munakka (raisins), Adusa (Malabar nut), and Mishri (sugar candy) are used to help cleanse the Kapha quickly. (It is important to note that strong purgation should never be given for cleansing the stomach in this disorder.)
