Suvarna (Svarna) Parpati Ayurvedic Digestive & Immunity Booster

Suvarna Parpati: A Traditional Ayurvedic Remedy for Digestive Health and Vitality

Composition Or Preparation Method

Take 8 parts of pure mercury, 4 parts of pure sulfur, and one tola (approx. 11.66 grams) of gold ash or gold leaf. First, mix the mercury with gold, then grind it in lemon juice for six hours. During this time, let it warm slightly in hot water. Then, add sulfur and grind again until well blended. If adding gold ash, mix it with the mercury-sulfur paste and grind with water. Finally, add a small amount of ghee to a pan and prepare the tablet from this mixture.Using cinnabar instead of mercury will give the tablet a red color. If there is a need to strengthen bile ducts in cases of liver disorders , this cinnabar-infused tablet is especially beneficial. However, avoid it if there is a cough condition

Dosage

Take 1 to 3 ratti (1 ratti = 0.1215 grams) per day, preferably with trikatu (a blend of three spices) and honey. If increasing the dosage to 3 ratti, do so gradually. In cases of weak digestion, combine with 2 ratti of Praval Panchamrit and trikatu with honey or pomegranate paste.

An Antiseptic & Digestive Issues

This tablet purifies bile, acts as an antiseptic, and strengthens the body. It is effective against various digestive issues, malabsorption, tuberculosis, cough, asthma, diabetes, colic, dysentery, slow digestion, and anemia. It ignites digestive fire and boosts physical strength and vitality. Suvarna Parpati is one of the most valuable medicines in the preparation of Parpati Kalpa. It can even bring severely weakened and near-death patients back to health. It is beneficial when combined with certain herbs like Durva.

Distressing Diarrhea

For chronic and distressing diarrhea, where there is no abdominal pain but large, watery stools occur frequently (about 4-5 times a day), causing the patient to feel extremely weak and frail with no energy to hold themselves up, this medicine is particularly effective. In such cases, intestinal absorption capacity is very weak, and excess fluid and intestinal secretions increase. The patient becomes extremely weak, emaciated, and frail, losing both energy and muscle mass. In this state, Suvarna Parpati works like magic, even saving the lives of many such patients.

Uses in Secondary Symptoms of Chronic Diarrhea

n cases of chronic diarrhea, secondary symptoms like cough, asthma, anemia, hiccups, or infections may arise. This tablet is very effective for such conditions, where tissues gradually weaken, starting from the plasma and going to reproductive tissues. However, it’s important to consider the mental state of the patient before giving Suvarna Parpati. If the mental condition is stable, Suvarna Parpati is highly beneficial.

In digestive disorders like malabsorption, minute lesions appear in the mucous membrane lining the digestive system, from the tongue to the lower stomach. Although these lesions are not intensely painful, they cause discomfort. Patients may experience pale, hot stools, loss of taste, dry and cracked tongue, and rough patches on the inner cheeks, throat, and entire mouth. The patient might feel a burning sensation, intolerant to warm or spicy food, and excessive saliva may occur. Sometimes, ulcers appear in the mouth, which may persist for years.

When ulcers heal, stools decrease, and symptoms improve, but any minor trigger can bring back all symptoms. In this disease, even the absorbed nutrients don’t get properly assimilated due to inflammation, which worsens the condition over time.

There are differing views on the cause of this illness. Some experts believe that the primary cause is reduced bile production, leading to poor digestion. Traditional treatments often include Gorochana, natural bile salts, or bile remedies like yogurt or whey.

Ayurvedic Perspective

According to Ayurvedic principles, the cause of digestive disorders is often linked not only to specific medicines but also to the role of bacteria and pathogens that affect the digestive system. If the disorder arises due to reduced bile production or other imbalances in the digestive organs, Ayurveda considers it a bile-related (pitta) disorder. When this imbalance is corrected, and the excess heat and sharpness of bile are reduced, the condition resolves naturally. Suvarna Parpati plays an essential role here in regulating bile and helping to restore balance.

In cases where weak bile production causes other deficiencies in the digestive process or if reduced bile flow leads to insufficient absorption, Pachamrut Parpati is recommended instead.

If the disease has progressed to a state where infections or degenerative pathogens are present, inflammation arises, causing issues like cough and respiratory problems. This may weaken the body, making it appear dull and fatigued. In such cases, Suvarna Parpati provides effective relief, especially if the patient’s mental condition is stable. Administering it with pomegranate paste (Dadimavaleha) enhances its benefits.

Due to its bile-regulating effects, Suvarna Parpati is especially useful for bile-related disorders. When the liver produces sufficient bile but the bile does not function correctly due to weakened channels or imbalances, this medicine helps regulate bile flow and maintains a healthy digestive process.

Suvarna-Based Rasayana

This gold-based Rasayana (rejuvenating tonic) is effective in treating chronic digestive disorders, bile-related diabetes, anemia, bile-related headaches, depression, memory loss, tuberculosis, and other ailments. Detailed benefits are covered in the description of Suvarna Bhasma.

For patients with severe malnutrition, fever, or sour burps, Suvarna Parpati can be combined with Yashad Bhasma, Atis powder, or a powdered blend of cardamom, nutmeg, cumin, and coriander to enhance its effects.

Special Use in Digestive Ulcers

In cases where intestinal damage causes bile-related pain and vomiting occurs 3-4 hours after meals with sour taste and increased thirst, Suvarna Parpati mixed with Kamdugha Rasa and Sangjarahat Bhasma provides relief. This mixture should be taken three times daily. If constipation persists, mild laxatives are recommended. In cases with abdominal gas buildup, add 4 ratti (0.5 grams) of babool coal ash to the mix for added relief.
